Description
A deliciously sweet and spicy jam made with fresh apples, honey, and jalapeño peppers, perfect for spreading on toast or pairing with cheese.
Ingredients

- 2 cups chopped apples
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 cup chopped jalapeño peppers (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 package (1.75 oz) fruit pectin
Instructions
- Prepare jars and lids for canning.
- In a large pot, combine chopped apples, honey, jalapeño peppers, and lemon juice.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
- Add the fruit pectin and stir well, then return to a full boil for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and ladle the jam into prepared jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace.
- Wipe the rims of the jars with a clean cloth and seal with lids.
- Process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
- Let the jars cool completely before storing them in a cool, dark place.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of jalapeño to control the heat level.
- This jam pairs well with cream cheese and crackers.
- Store in the refrigerator after opening.
