- 12 mozzarella sticks
- 12 slices of thick-cut bacon
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- Cooking spray
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wrap each mozzarella stick with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
- Dredge each wrapped stick in flour, shaking off excess.
- Dip the flour-coated stick into the beaten eggs to coat.
- Coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until bacon is crispy and cheese is melted.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
You can use turkey bacon for a lighter option or gluten-free breadcrumbs for a dietary alternative. Serve with marinara or ranch dressing for dipping.
