Description

Delicious baked French dip biscuits filled with savory beef and cheese, perfect for impressing guests.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup cooked roast beef, shredded
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in milk until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut into circles.
  7. Place a spoonful of shredded beef and cheese on half of the circles.
  8. Top with remaining circles and seal the edges.
  9. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. In a small saucepan, heat beef broth and Worcestershire sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add garlic powder to the dough.
  • Serve with au jus for dipping.
  • Can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
