Description

Baked Rigatoni with Mushrooms & Prosciutto is a delicious and hearty pasta dish that combines the rich flavors of mushrooms and savory prosciutto, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound rigatoni pasta
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 ounces prosciutto, chopped
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and mushrooms, sautéing until mushrooms are tender.
  4. Add chopped prosciutto to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked rigatoni, sautéed mushrooms and prosciutto, ricotta cheese, and marinara sauce. Mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

  • Feel free to add other vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra flavor.
