Ingredients

- 2 cans of tuna, drained
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup red bell pepper, diced
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, breadcrumbs, green onions, red bell pepper, egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Mix until well combined and form into patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and sriracha sauce to create the spicy mayo.
- Serve the tuna cakes hot with the spicy mayo on the side.
Notes
- For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
- Adjust the amount of sriracha in the mayo to taste.
- These cakes can be baked instead of fried for a healthier option.
