Description
Indulge in tender Cajun steak tips paired beautifully with creamy penne Parmesan sauce, delivering bold flavors and delightful textures.
Ingredients
- Steak Tips (Sirloin or Filet Mignon)
- Cajun Spices (Paprika, Cayenne, Garlic Powder, Thyme)
- Penne Pasta
- Heavy Cream
- Parmesan Cheese (Freshly Grated)
- Garlic (Freshly Minced)
- Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper
Instructions
- Season the steak: Generously coat the steak tips with Cajun spices, salt, and pepper, allowing the flavors to meld. Let them sit for about 15 minutes.
- Sear the steak: In a heavy skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once shimmering, add steak tips and sear for about 3-5 minutes on each side.
- Boil the penne: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne according to package instructions. Drain, reserving a cup of starchy pasta water.
- Sauté garlic: Remove the steak and sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Create the sauce: Pour in heavy cream, add grated Parmesan, and mix until creamy. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Combine pasta and sauce: Fold cooked penne into the skillet and toss in sliced steak pieces.
- Serve: Dish out and top with additional Parmesan. Enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, season steak tips the night before. For a lighter option, substitute steak with chicken. Can adjust spiciness to taste.
