Description

A decadent Caramel Crunch Layer Cake that combines rich caramel flavors with a delightful crunch, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup crushed toffee bits
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease three 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder, then gradually add to the wet mixture.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, layer the cakes with caramel sauce and crushed toffee bits in between each layer.
  9. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form and frost the top and sides of the cake.
  10. Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the top and sprinkle with more toffee bits before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of granulated sugar.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • This cake can be made a day in advance for better flavor development.
