Description

A delicious twist on traditional cheesesteak, this dish features tortellini in a rich provolone sauce, combining flavors of beef, cheese, and pasta for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz tortellini
  • 1 lb beef steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, sautéing until softened.
  3. Add the sliced beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  5. Reduce heat and add the provolone cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  6. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with additional provolone if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add sliced jalapeños or red pepper flakes.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
