Ingredients

  • 8 jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded colby jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup canned chili (or homemade)
  • 1 package lil smokies
  • 1.5 tablespoons BBQ seasoning
  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut each jalapeño in half lengthwise, removing seeds carefully.
  3. Blend cream cheese, colby jack, chili, lil smokies, and BBQ seasoning in a bowl.
  4. Fill each jalapeño half with the cheesy mixture.
  5. Roll the crescent roll dough into strips and wrap around jalapeños.
  6. Brush with melted butter.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Wear gloves while handling jalapeños. Remove seeds for milder poppers.
