- 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 lemon, juiced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rapid boil. Add your spaghetti or linguine, cooking it according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, keeping a cup of the pasta water for later.
- Melt the Butter: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the butter and let it melt and start to sizzle.
- Sauté the Garlic: Toss in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.
- Cook the Chicken: Add the sliced chicken, season generously with salt and pepper, and cook for about 6-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Add the Wine and Lemon Juice: Pour in the white wine and squeeze in lemon juice, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Combine with Pasta: Toss in the cooked pasta, mixing well to coat with the sauce. Add reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
- Serve and Garnish: Plate your dish and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
