Description
Deliciously moist chocolate cupcakes filled with rich caramel and topped with a creamy chocolate frosting.

- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup chocolate frosting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
- Fill each cupcake liner about halfway with batter.
- Add a teaspoon of caramel sauce into the center of each cupcake batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
- Top each cupcake with chocolate frosting and drizzle with additional caramel sauce.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
- Store cupcakes in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- These cupcakes can be frozen for up to 2 months.
