Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your bundt pan well to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large bowl, use your mixer to cream together the cream cheese and butter until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
  3. Gradually sprinkle in the granulated sugar, beating until the combination is light and airy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until evenly incorporated.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Alternately add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture with the milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
  7. Pour the thick batter into the prepared bundt pan. Smooth the top with your spatula to create an even surface.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
