- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your bundt pan well to prevent sticking.
- In a large bowl, use your mixer to cream together the cream cheese and butter until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
- Gradually sprinkle in the granulated sugar, beating until the combination is light and airy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until evenly incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Alternately add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture with the milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
- Pour the thick batter into the prepared bundt pan. Smooth the top with your spatula to create an even surface.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Make this cake a day in advance for deeper flavors. It can also be adapted for an air fryer.
