Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare your cupcake tray by lining it with your beautiful cupcake liners.
  2. Combine dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, mix the sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined and slightly frothy.
  4. Combine the mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir gently until just combined.
  5. Fill liners: Use a measuring cup or ice cream scoop to fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake: Place them in your preheated oven and bake for 18-22 minutes.
  7. Cool: Once baked, remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 5 minutes.
  8. Beat the butter: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter for the frosting until creamy and smooth.
  9. Add cocoa: Sift in the cocoa powder and mix until incorporated.
  10. Incorporate powdered sugar: Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until well combined.
  11. Adjust with milk: Add 2-3 tablespoons of milk until the frosting reaches your desired consistency.
  12. Add vanilla and salt: Mix in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, then beat until fluffy and light.
  13. Frost cupcakes: Once the cupcakes are completely cool, use a piping bag or spatula to frost each one.
