Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Mix together the sourdough starter, milk, vegetable oil, and sugar until smooth.
  3. Combine all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, whisking for even distribution.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips carefully.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
