Description

A delightful and flavorful artisan sourdough bread enhanced with olive oil and honey, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g Bread Flour
  • 350ml Water
  • 100g Sourdough Starter
  • 10g Salt
  • 30ml Olive Oil
  • 20g Honey

Instructions

  1. Mix the bread flour and water in a large bowl. Let rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Add the sourdough starter, salt, olive oil, and honey. Stir until well incorporated.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  4. Transfer the kneaded dough into a greased bowl and cover it with a damp cloth. Let rise for 4 to 6 hours.
  5. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it in a floured banneton.
  6. Proof the loaf for 1 to 2 hours.
  7. Preheat your oven to 230°C (450°F).
  8. Bake the bread for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Make-ahead: Consider refrigerating the shaped loaf overnight for enhanced flavor. Can also use an air fryer as a cooking alternative.
