- 4 strips thick-cut bacon, cooked until crispy
- 4 ounces thinly sliced deli turkey breast (or roast chicken)
- 3 ounces thinly sliced ham (optional)
- 2 slices sharp cheddar or Swiss cheese
- Crisp Romaine or iceberg lettuce leaves, washed and dried
- 1 medium ripe tomato, sliced
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: pickles or avocado slices
Instructions
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy and golden (6-8 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
- Toast the bread slices until golden and crispy (3-5 minutes).
- Mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard in a small bowl.
- Slice the tomato into medium-thick slices and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Assemble the sandwich: Spread mayo-mustard mixture on one slice of toast, layer with turkey, lettuce, and tomato, then add another slice of toast.
- On the second layer, spread mayo, add ham, bacon, cheese, and any optional toppings, then top with the last slice of toast.
- Secure with picks, slice diagonally, and serve immediately.
