  • 4 strips thick-cut bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced deli turkey breast (or roast chicken)
  • 3 ounces thinly sliced ham (optional)
  • 2 slices sharp cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • Crisp Romaine or iceberg lettuce leaves, washed and dried
  • 1 medium ripe tomato, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: pickles or avocado slices

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy and golden (6-8 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
  2. Toast the bread slices until golden and crispy (3-5 minutes).
  3. Mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard in a small bowl.
  4. Slice the tomato into medium-thick slices and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Assemble the sandwich: Spread mayo-mustard mixture on one slice of toast, layer with turkey, lettuce, and tomato, then add another slice of toast.
  6. On the second layer, spread mayo, add ham, bacon, cheese, and any optional toppings, then top with the last slice of toast.
  7. Secure with picks, slice diagonally, and serve immediately.
