Description

A comforting and hearty crockpot goulash with ground beef, pasta, and a rich tomato sauce, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, warm over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking into smaller pieces.
  2. Transfer the cooked beef to the crockpot.
  3. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper to the crockpot.
  4. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  6. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in uncooked elbow macaroni.
  7. Cover and continue cooking on HIGH for 20-30 minutes until macaroni is al dente.
  8. Adjust seasoning if necessary, and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese before serving.
  9. Ladle into bowls and serve warm.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using ground turkey or plant-based alternatives. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
