Instructions

- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Layer the sliced ham evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border along the edges.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the ham evenly.
- Roll the pastry tightly into a log from one edge.
- Slice the log into 1-inch pinwheels.
- Place the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
