Description

Delicious and nutritious oatmeal bars made with bananas and peanut butter, perfect for a quick snack or breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon (if using) to the mashed bananas and mix well.
  4. Stir in the rolled oats until fully combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
