Description
A simple and comforting lasagna made with layers of cottage cheese, marinara, and mozzarella without the hassle of boiling noodles.
Ingredients

- 15 ounces small curd cottage cheese
- 9 sheets no-boil lasagna noodles
- 4 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- Fresh basil or dried Italian herbs (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine cottage cheese, beaten egg, half of the grated Parmesan, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
- Pour 1 cup of marinara sauce into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and layer three no-boil noodles on top.
- Spread 1/3 of the cottage cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by a sprinkle of 2/3 cup mozzarella.
- Repeat the layering process two more times: noodles, cottage cheese mixture, and mozzarella.
- Finish with a final layer of noodles, carefully pouring the remaining marinara on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and the rest of the Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the lasagna up to the baking step and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. For an air fryer alternative, bake at 360°F (182°C) for about 30 minutes.
