Description
A flavorful dish combining spicy Sriracha, sweet brown sugar, and tender chicken, perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons Sriracha
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 2 cups rice (Jasmine or white)
Instructions
- Begin with the chicken: Cut the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
- Whisk together the sauce: In a medium mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and Sriracha. Whisk until smooth.
- Sizzle away: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden-brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour on the flavor: Reduce heat to low, pour the sauce over the chicken, and stir to coat. Let bubble for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve with joy: Present the Firecracker Chicken over a bed of rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For added depth, consider marinating the chicken in the sauce beforehand. Customize with your favorite side dishes.
