Description

Grilled Halloumi and Asparagus Skewers are a delicious and healthy dish perfect for summer barbecues or as a light appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 200g Halloumi cheese
  • 250g asparagus spears
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Cut the Halloumi cheese into thick slices.
  3. Trim the ends of the asparagus spears.
  4. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  5. Coat the Halloumi and asparagus with the olive oil mixture.
  6. Thread the Halloumi and asparagus onto skewers, alternating between them.
  7. Grill the skewers for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the Halloumi is golden brown and the asparagus is tender.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or cherry tomatoes.
  • Serve with a side of tzatziki for dipping.
