Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the mixture onto the flank steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.
  5. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine avocado, tomato, red onion, cilantro, and lime juice to make the salsa.
  7. Warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side.
  8. Assemble the tacos by placing sliced steak on the tortillas and topping with avocado salsa.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
