- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits (16.3 oz)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper, cooking for 1 minute.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the hashbrowns, followed by the sausage gravy.
- Top with biscuits, placing them evenly over the gravy.
- If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sausage.
