Description

A delightful and hearty casserole featuring layers of seasoned ground beef, creamy potatoes, and fresh green beans topped with melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced thinly
  • 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite type)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth or water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and layer the sliced potatoes evenly at the bottom.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture on top of the potatoes, followed by the green beans.
  6. Pour the beef broth over all the layers and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  7. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Allow to sit for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, allow the casserole to rest after baking to help the flavors meld. Use fresh ingredients for optimal taste.
