Description

A delicious homemade version of Raising Cane’s Chicken and their famous Cane’s Sauce, perfect for a quick meal or a party.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then coat in the flour mixture.
  5. Fry the chicken tenders in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Drain on paper towels and keep warm.
  7. For the Cane’s Sauce, mix 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, and a dash of black pepper in a bowl.
  8. Serve the chicken tenders with Cane’s Sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double-dip the chicken in buttermilk and flour.
  • Adjust the spices in the flour mixture to your taste.
  • Store leftover sauce in the refrigerator for up to a week.
