Description

A delicious and cheesy Irish toastie that is perfect for a quick meal or snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of Irish soda bread
  • 200g of Irish cheddar cheese, grated
  • 50g of butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons of wholegrain mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your sandwich press or grill.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side, spread wholegrain mustard.
  4. Layer the grated cheddar cheese on two slices of bread.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Top with the other two slices of bread, buttered side up.
  7. Place the sandwiches in the sandwich press or grill and cook until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from heat, slice, and serve hot.

  • Feel free to add other ingredients like ham or tomatoes for extra flavor.
