  • 2 ounces mozzarella cheese
  • 2 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons sun-dried tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic (optional)
  • Fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the bread into two pieces.
  2. Slice the mozzarella and cheddar cheese into even pieces.
  3. Sizzle minced garlic in butter over low heat until fragrant, then cool.
  4. Spread garlic-infused butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  5. Layer mozzarella cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and top with the second slice of bread.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat, place the sandwich, and press down.
  7. Flip the sandwich after 3-4 minutes and cook until crispy and cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from heat, let rest for a minute, slice, and serve.

Notes

For added flavor, consider cooking the sandwich in an air fryer at 370°F for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through.
