Description

Deliciously sweet and savory snacks made with buttery crackers, crispy bacon, and a maple-brown sugar glaze.


Ingredients

  • 24 Buttery Rectangular Crackers (Club or Ritz)
  • 8 Slices Bacon, Cut into Thirds
  • 1/3 Cup Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1/3 Cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • Pinch of Cayenne Pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and place a wire rack on top.
  3. Arrange the crackers in a single layer on the wire rack.
  4. Place one piece of bacon atop each cracker.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, brown sugar, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  6. Spoon or brush the glaze over each cracker.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 22 minutes, keeping an eye on them.
  8. Allow to cool on the wire rack for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Make them ahead by assembling the night before and baking just before serving. You can also use an air fryer for a quicker option.
