Description

Maple Donut Bars are a delicious and sweet treat that combines the flavors of maple syrup and a soft, cake-like donut texture, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, until well combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bars cool completely before glazing.
  9. For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled bars.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For a richer flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the batter.
  • These bars can be frozen for up to 2 months; thaw before serving.
