- 1 whole chicken (about 4–5 lbs)
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix together maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Place the chicken in a roasting pan and brush the maple glaze all over the chicken.
- Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Baste the chicken with the glaze every 20 minutes for extra flavor.
- Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
- Garnish with fresh thyme and serve.
Notes
- For a crispy skin, broil the chicken for the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Serve with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
