Description

Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, half of the meat mixture, and a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, marinara sauce, and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute the meat with vegetables like spinach and mushrooms.
  • Can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
