Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Oven: Set it to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugars: Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add Eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
