- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, rotini, or penne)
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Begin mixing the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
- Form the mixture into mini meatballs, about an inch in size.
- Heat your pot over medium heat, adding a drizzle of olive oil.
- Brown the meatballs for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until they’re cooked through and golden.
- Remove them from the pot and set aside.
- Introduce the pasta, marinara sauce, and broth to the same pot.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring to incorporate flavors.
- Add the meatballs back into the pot and lower the heat to simmer.
- Cover and let it cook for about 10-12 minutes until the pasta is tender.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
