Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup cooked sausage or ham, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Gravy for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until frothy and well combined.
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or oil.
  3. Spread the croissant pieces across the bottom of the greased dish.
  4. Sprinkle the diced sausage or ham over the croissant layer, followed by chopped onions and bell peppers.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients, pressing down slightly.
  6. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  7. The next morning, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Remove the plastic wrap, sprinkle the cheese on top, and bake for 35-40 minutes until set and golden brown.
  9. Serve warm, optionally topped with a drizzle of gravy.
