Description

A delicious and festive pasta dish inspired by the flavors of Mardi Gras, featuring shrimp, sausage, and a creamy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 lb andouille sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the andouille sausage and cook until browned.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink.
  5. Stir in the garlic, bell peppers, and Cajun seasoning; cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and heavy cream; bring to a simmer.
  7. Mix in the cooked pasta and toss to combine.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add more Cajun seasoning.
  • Can substitute shrimp with chicken or other seafood.
  • Serve with garlic bread for a complete meal.
