- 1 package Lil’ Smokies
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (canned or fresh)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Toothpicks for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, barbecue sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
- Place the Lil’ Smokies into the baking dish and drizzle the sauce mixture over them.
- Scatter the pineapple chunks over the top of the smokies.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the edges bubble and the brown sugar caramelizes.
- Serve warm with toothpicks.
Notes
You can make the sauce a day in advance and refrigerate it. For a healthier version, try turkey or chicken sausages.
