Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg

  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and boil the potatoes until soft, then mash them in a bowl.
  2. Add shredded cheese, salt, and pepper to the mashed potatoes and mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into sticks or desired shapes.
  4. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs.
  5. Dip each potato stick first in flour, then in egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  7. Fry the potato cheese sticks until golden brown on all sides.
  8. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  9. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add some chili powder to the potato mixture.
