Instructions
- Peel and boil the potatoes until soft, then mash them in a bowl.
- Add shredded cheese, salt, and pepper to the mashed potatoes and mix well.
- Shape the mixture into sticks or desired shapes.
- Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs.
- Dip each potato stick first in flour, then in egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the potato cheese sticks until golden brown on all sides.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add some chili powder to the potato mixture.
- These can be baked instead of fried for a healthier option.
