Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
- Whisk together oil, eggs, carrots, pineapple, and vanilla in another bowl.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined.
- Fold in salted caramel sauce carefully.
- Divide the batter evenly between prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
- Beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth, then add powdered sugar and vanilla extract until creamy.
- Spread frosting between cake layers and on top; drizzle with extra salted caramel.
- Slice and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, add chopped nuts or shredded coconut to the batter. Ensure cakes are completely cool before frosting.
