Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the active sourdough starter, all-purpose flour, warm water, and salt until a shaggy dough forms.
  2. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl and let it rise, covered, at room temperature for about 4 hours.
  4. Gently deflate the dough and shape it into a round loaf, then let it rest on the counter for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) during the dough’s rest.
  6. Put the shaped loaf on a parchment-lined baking sheet and generously sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until deep golden brown and hollow when tapped.
  8. Allow the bread to cool on a wire rack before slicing.
