Seasoned Ground Beef for Tacos

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Paleo

Description

Transform your taco night with this flavorful seasoned ground beef, perfect for customizing with fresh toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional veggies: diced bell peppers or jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it shimmers invitingly.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté lovingly until they become softened and golden, about 3–4 minutes.
  3. Introduce the ground beef into the skillet. Use your spatula to break it apart, cooking until it’s browned throughout, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper; let the spices mingle with the beef for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  5. If using, add any chopped vegetables now, letting them heat through for a couple of minutes.
  6. Serve immediately in warm tortillas or over a fresh salad.

Notes

This seasoned ground beef keeps beautifully in the fridge for up to 3 days or can be frozen for up to 3 months. Perfect for meal prep!
