Description

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 medium carrots, chopped
  • 4 medium potatoes, cubed
  • 1 onion, quartered

Instructions

  1. Combine the beef broth, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Place the beef roast in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over the top.
  3. Add the chopped carrots, cubed potatoes, and quartered onion around the roast.
  4. Cover your slow cooker and set it to low, cooking for 8 hours.
  5. Once the cooking time is done, shred the meat in the slow cooker and mix it with the vegetables and sauce.

Notes

For added flavor, consider browning the beef before adding it to the slow cooker. Customize by adding other vegetables or herbs.
