A simple and delicious recipe for Slow Cooker Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls that combines all the flavors of traditional cabbage rolls without the hassle of rolling them.

- 1 large head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
- In the slow cooker, layer half of the chopped cabbage at the bottom.
- Spread half of the meat mixture over the cabbage.
- Add the diced tomatoes and half of the tomato sauce on top.
- Layer the remaining cabbage, followed by the rest of the meat mixture, and top with the remaining tomato sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the meat is cooked through and the cabbage is tender.
Notes
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for extra flavor.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Leftovers can be frozen for up to 3 months.
