A sophisticated twist on the classic grilled cheese, blending smoky salmon with melty cheese between perfectly toasted bread.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of bread (sourdough or whole grain)
- 2 slices of cheese (sharp cheddar or Gruyère)
- 2–3 ounces of smoked salmon
- Butter
- Optional: Fresh dill or chives for garnish
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, onto the skillet.
- Layer cheese and smoked salmon on top.
- Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Flip the sandwich and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
- Slice in half and garnish with fresh dill or chives if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for better melting. Experiment with different cheeses and breads.
