Description

A sophisticated twist on the classic grilled cheese, blending smoky salmon with melty cheese between perfectly toasted bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (sourdough or whole grain)
  • 2 slices of cheese (sharp cheddar or Gruyère)
  • 23 ounces of smoked salmon
  • Butter
  • Optional: Fresh dill or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, onto the skillet.
  4. Layer cheese and smoked salmon on top.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  6. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Flip the sandwich and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
  8. Slice in half and garnish with fresh dill or chives if desired.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for better melting. Experiment with different cheeses and breads.
