Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Stir in the sourdough discard until mixed well.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are set.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For make-ahead options, refrigerate the dough in advance. You can also use air fryer at 325°F (160°C) for 8-10 minutes.
