Ingredients

- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 lb ground meat (beef, turkey, or sausage)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, then drain, and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti with the beaten egg, ricotta cheese, cream cheese, and half of the mozzarella.
- Grease your pie dish with olive oil or non-stick spray.
- Press the spaghetti mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the dish to form a crust.
- In a skillet, cook your ground meat over medium heat until browned.
- Add herbs, salt, and pepper to the browned meat and mix well.
- Spoon the seasoned meat mixture evenly over the spaghetti crust.
- Top generously with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
Feel free to customize with sautéed veggies or try a gluten-free pasta for a different twist.
