Description

A comforting and delicious spaghetti pie filled with savory meat and creamy cheeses, all nestled in a golden crust.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, turkey, or sausage)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, then drain, and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti with the beaten egg, ricotta cheese, cream cheese, and half of the mozzarella.
  4. Grease your pie dish with olive oil or non-stick spray.
  5. Press the spaghetti mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the dish to form a crust.
  6. In a skillet, cook your ground meat over medium heat until browned.
  7. Add herbs, salt, and pepper to the browned meat and mix well.
  8. Spoon the seasoned meat mixture evenly over the spaghetti crust.
  9. Top generously with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize with sautéed veggies or try a gluten-free pasta for a different twist.
