Description

A delightful dish featuring large pasta shells stuffed with a creamy ricotta cheese mixture and fresh spring herbs, perfect for impressing guests.


Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, spinach, basil, parsley, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff each pasta shell with the ricotta mixture.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place the stuffed shells in the baking dish and cover with remaining marinara sauce.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through and bubbly.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add other herbs like chives or dill for extra flavor.
  • Can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
  • Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
