- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup strawberry jam
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine milk, melted butter, and egg. Add to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth, then let it rise for 1 hour.
- In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and chopped strawberries to create the filling.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the filling evenly, and roll it up tightly.
- Cut the roll into slices and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Once baked, spread strawberry jam on top and serve warm.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the filling.
- These rolls can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
- Serve with whipped cream for an extra treat.
