Description

Delightful soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls infused with juicy strawberries, topped with a creamy glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk until lukewarm, then sprinkle in the yeast with 1 tablespoon of sugar; let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Create a well, then add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until soft dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down dough, roll into a rectangle. Spread chopped strawberries, sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  6. Roll tightly into a log, slice into 1-1.5 inch rolls, and arrange in a greased baking dish. Let rise for 30-40 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Make these ahead and refrigerate overnight. Reheat directly from frozen for up to 2 months.
