  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Place a dollop of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry heart.
  5. Top with sliced strawberries.
  6. Fold the edges of the pastry over slightly to create a border around the filling.
  7. Brush with egg wash.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before dusting with powdered sugar.
