- 1 package of store-bought puff pastry
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a dollop of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry heart.
- Top with sliced strawberries.
- Fold the edges of the pastry over slightly to create a border around the filling.
- Brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before dusting with powdered sugar.
